Stupid Life

Started work on a new project today, it's called Snapshots and is being delivered for young people in care. This picture is part of a collaborative poem called Stupid Life.

I think this is very powerful - the way that the word 'upset' is there in red almost looking down on the other words. I also really enjoy how arranged like this the words have a visual quality that adds to their meanings.

Let me know how it goes ! the visual thing is always very powerful. I am a great fan of the post it note, a roll of lining paper and coloured pens and also chalk is pretty good too. There is nothing like writing on walls or pavement, it's the most basic urge that exists in all of us. As soon as we had fire to light up the caves we lived in we were painting our stories on rock !
